The City of Lakes Community Land Trust Announces Andrea Reese as New Executive Director

The City of Lakes Community Land Trust is pleased to announce the hiring of our new Executive Director, Andrea Reese. Andrea is a longtime advocate, champion, and Board Member for the CLCLT whose experience and passion will further our mission: Creating community ownership that preserves affordability and inclusivity.

Andrea brings a wealth of experience in community-based economic development to the position, most recently as Deputy Executive Director of Mni Sota Fund. At her time with the Mni Sota Fund Andrea worked to further increase opportunities that create intergenerational wealth in the American Indian Community. Andrea’s extensive nonprofit experience, authentic leadership, and deep connections to community will be incredible assets to the mission of the CLCLT as she steps into this important role.

"I am deeply humbled and grateful for this opportunity to serve in the position of Executive Director at the CLCLT,” says Andrea Reese. “Being a proud Native American homeowner myself, I hope to serve the communities that are most affected by the homeownership gap in Minnesota. I firmly believe that homeownership provides stability and a strong foundation for all aspects of a family unit. My vision is to make a generational impact through our ongoing efforts to steward land in a good way for the benefit of our children and families in the future."

When not engaged in community development projects, Andrea is toting her children to basketball practice/tournaments, training for her first marathon, attending powwows, and spending time with friends and family.

Andrea will begin at the City of Lakes Community Land Trust on June 26th.
