Currently over a dozen organizations are using the CLT model to provide affordable homeownership opportunities in Minnesota. There are CLT's in cities, suburbs and rural areas.

First homes has financed both CLT and non CLT homes.

NCLT works with numerous housing partners, neighborhoods, and City government to help individuals and families realize the dream of homeownership otherwise unavailable to them. NCLT provides new construction, housing rehab, developer/builders, buyer-initiated program in Duluth.

By remaining flexible in its revitalization approaches, Rondo meets housing needs while preserving economic and cultural diversity in the community.
www.tworiversclt.com 651-351-5409	Two Rivers Community Land Trust (Washington County) Two Rivers will preserve existing housing in Washington County and provide additional affordable units through new construction and a homebuyer initiated program. The goal for this program is to make housing available to people making 60% of area median income.
www.homeswithinreach.org 952-401-7071	West Hennepin Affordable Housing Land Trust Homes Within Reach (Suburban Hennepin County) WHAHLT provides affordable, permanent home ownership opportunities in suburban Hennepin County to low and moderate-income households. WHAHLT generally buys existing family housing with little or no rehab.

The Minnesota Community Land Trust Coalition members work collectively to:

CLT's are governed by boards of directors that include CLT homeowners.
CLT's hold the land beneath CLT homes in trust for the community.

How are Minnesota CLT's different?

CLT's reflect the communities they represent.
CLT's use different development strategies and housing programs to provide homeownership opportunities.
CLT's use different resale formulas to determine the sales price of homes sold by CLT homeowners.
Each CLT has a list of mortgage financing options that work with their programs (not all mortgages work with all CLT's).
Each CLT has its own application process.
