Amazing, Inspiring Authors

This past week I attended a reading and author’s comments at the African Development Center for the recent book titled, Somalis in Minnesota, written by Ahmed Yusuf. The link to see/purchase the book is http://www.amazon.com/Somalis-Minnesota-People-Of/dp/0873518675
I haven’t read the book yet, but am sure it’s great and I’ll learn a ton more about Somalia, Somalis, and the various paths that have brought them to Minneapolis. The author, Ahmed, is a CLCLT Board Member and also a CLCLT homeowner. As I was at this event, I realized that there were other CLCLT homeowners who’ve recently published other inspirational books.
Just prior to the new year David Wenell’s book,Cultural Enslavement: Breaking Free Into Abundant Living, was published. It can be found at http://www.amazon.com/Cultural-Enslavement-Breaking-Abundant-Living/dp/1620320851/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1358481088&sr=8-11&keywords=wenell
Lastly, but not least, Robert Mingo wrote a book of inspirational poetry called Poetry for the Soul: Volume One. It can be found at https://www.createspace.com/3347565
I find it pretty amazing – though I suppose I shouldn’t – that so many CLCLT homeowners are writing such great pieces. Congrats Ahmed, David, and Robert! I can only expect that I’ll be seeing more from these authors and potentially other CLCLT homeowners.
Thanks for noting our books! It’s much appreciated. And thanks to CLCLT for the home in which I was able to finish my work.
